Artificial intelligence task force seeks ₹1,200 crore corpus from govt – The Times of India – The artificial intelligence (AI) task force, set up by the ministry of commerce and industry last year, has recommended a Rs 1,200-crore corpus for five years under the Union Budget to push the National Artificial Intelligence Mission (N-AIM). The task force has made a six-part recommendation. While AI has been making headlines globally for taking away jobs, the report instead, quoting various studies, said, that AI could create jobs in the country that would be higher than the number of jobs becoming redundant due to innovation in technology.

Govt seeks suggestions as India eyes position among global top five in defence production – The Times of India – India, which remains stuck in the strategically-vulnerable and embarrassing position of being the world’s largest arms importer, wants to emerge as one of the top five countries around the globe in terms of defence and aerospace industry production by 2025, claims a draft defence production policy (DPP) made public by the defence ministry on Thursday.
