My Journey – Simran Batra
Hi Simran, please tell us something about yourself
I’m an author of french workbook series ‘Apprenons le français’ and ‘Ailes’ used on Pan-India basis and in Gulf countries for the last 15 years. I have worked as the Head of department- Foreign languages at G.D Goenka Public school, Vasant Kunj for nearly 10 years. I have worked as a French faculty member in Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj. I’m a guest writer for a french magazine ‘Good Life France’. I prepare students for French board exams, competitive exams, olympiads, SATs and many other examinations like these. I have recently completed my C1 diploma in Spanish language and also train students learning Spanish.

I worked as the Head of department- Foreign languages in G.D Goenka public school, Vasant Kunj for nearly 10 years. I was a French faculty member at Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj.
What was the inspiration for you start your own business?
I have always been fascinated about learning new languages and getting acquainted to new cultures. As I learnt I chose a career where I could share my knowledge and experiences by imparting education to today’s youth.
What have been some of your achievements in your professional life?
Seeing my commitment and dedication I was promoted as the Head of Department- Foreign languages. I was given an opportunity by renowned publishers to author books in french language. I was given an opportunity to write articles for a french magazine for their web portal.
The difference you have made to others
I have made them love the idea of learning new languages. Today I see my students well placed in life and many have chosen French language as their career option.
