Dr. Kirti Bajpai
I am Dr. Kirti Bajpai., my journey began from being a housewife, to an educator, then an Entrepreneur (published Children’s Magazine) to a Psychologist Counselor. While teaching in school I realized that both parents and children needed guidance at each and every level, children felt the need to be heard by their parents and teacher’s. Somehow I noticed that there was depreciation of self love amongst few. I continued being their guide and mentor but I always felt I could not do enough because of time constraints since I was teaching too.
In 2013 I met with an accident and was on and off on bed for almost four years. I thought how could I spend my time just lying on bed and doing nothing, that is when a friend and I started our own Magazine named Mindsmart , due to financial issues ,we could continue with one year publication. This was the time Thereafter I went through lot of highs and lows because of lack of mobility due to my accident. Thereafter I felt the need for a counseling and found that therapist were quite expensive. Which gave me a motivation to pursue counseling as a career and help others too.

I was associated with British Council for almost four years as a freelancer. It was a great experience. My mentors guided me at each level and were quite professional.

What was the inspiration for you to start your own business?

When I was teaching in DPS Sec 45 Gurugram I noticed parents struggling with handling their children and projecting their fears on their children. Students were low in emotional Intelligence or they felt no one was there to hear them out. This was very heart breaking as they were wonderful souls. This gave me a drive to help them out. Thereafter an accident left me on bed for almost four years…I went through my lows and highs as there was less hope for me to bounce back on my feet. I started searching for good counselors but they were too expensive and my finances never permitted me to take up therapy. This reinforced me to take up counseling as a career and help people with therapy which was pocket friendly and in lesser period of time.

What have been some of your achievements in your professional life?

  • In Delhi Public School Gurugram I was awarded as the best teacher by the school administration.
  • In Sudha Se Sudhar NGO I conducted various activities to help the underprivileged. Within three months of joining I was made the President of the NGO. • As a Psychologist Counselor I was approached by Femina to publish my article.
